Love of life

There you can find a short description of one of the most popular Jack's London works. It called "Love of life". 

  

The plot of the story 

     The protagonist of the story (the author did not give the name of the protagonist, honored all the gold-diggers, who swallowed the difficult conditions of Alaska), along with his friend go to search for gold. But on the way back, they were waiting for hard work: the last food and cartridges ended. Every day they became more and more depleted. 

     Once, the central character of the work, passing through the stream, turned his leg. Bill (so called his friend), decided to leave his friend and go further. An unbroken hero, went up, and in spite of pain went further. He was very hungry and subjected to dehydration, but the thirst for life took to the top. In the course of his journey, the protagonist gets a foot injury, wears his clothes, loses a shotgun and a hat, in which the matches were hidden matches, meets with a bear, enters a martial arts fight with a sick wolf.

     The hero's route passed from the area north of the Great Bear Lake until Coppermine entered the Arctic Ocean, where he picked up the whaling vessel, and subsequently delivered to San Francisco.
